Michael Chausovsky was born in Kiev, Ukraine (former Soviet Union) in 1952. Michael has always had a passion for fine arts, music and craftsmanship. He also enjoys sports and the outdoors. In 1967, he completed music school as a piano player.

In 1978, Michael received his Bachelor's degree with a double major in Fine Arts Education and Draftsmanship from Kursk State Teachers College. From 1972 to 1989, he worked at the Kiev Industrial Design Research Center as an industrial designer. He designed mostly heavy industrial transportation devices as well as furniture and light fixtures. He received patents on many of the products he designed .

As a part time job, Michael taught drawing and painting. He learned photography and graphic design and began to work as a freelance graphic designer for the biggest publishing companies in Kiev. He designed brochures, book covers, illustrations, logos and many other printed media.

After Michael's emigration from the former Soviet Union to the United States with his family in 1989, he worked as a silkscreen printer, illustrator, sign designer and art director.

Michael has never stopped painting and drawing. As a result he has participated in numerous exhibits in Russia and in the US. Many private collectors and companies from around the world have purchased his paintings. His favorite subject for painting is a man in the moment of inspiration.

For the past 11 years, Michael has worked as a senior graphic designer in a high-tech electrical company. He is responsible for all company needs in graphics, multimedia and web design. His duties also include design and production of "ready to go" brochures, catalogs, and CDs.

Michael also plays guitar in a band.
